As we all begin the process of doing our utmost to fight the outbreak of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, we truly hope you and your loved ones remain healthy during this difficult period.
Staying calm and keeping yourself fresh and healthy is paramount in seeing through this lockdown and coming out the other side with new ideas, a positive proactive outlook and hopefully a Coronavirus-controlled world.
There is an abundance of information available on our Government website on how to diminish the spread of this pandemic and what is expected of you over this period.

Most importantly, if you are not a Key Worker and not required to travel to and from work, please take this time to relax, reflect and rejuvenate from the safety of your own home.

Physis Probiotics:
​
Currently, at the time of writing this update, there is no vaccine or cure for the virus and the only line of defense is prevention. While our Physis Probiotics have not been tested against the symptoms or prevention of Coronavirus, it is safe to say that certain probiotics have shown to assist in the strengthening of your immunity. Whether this applies to the Coronavirus, we are yet to find out.

Our Physis Probiotics are live microorganisms, also known as “friendly bacteria,” that help maintain the natural balance of organisms (microflora) in the human gut. This good bacteria is vital for a healthy immune system, to protect against disease-causing microorganisms and aid in both digestion and absorption of food and nutrients.
Looking a little more closely at the gut … The normal GI tract contains several hundred types of friendly bacteria that are able to promote healthy digestion and reduce the growth of harmful bacteria; overall health may be very dependent on the health of your GI system. For this reason, prophylactic daily use of a probiotic is helpful and may assist in improving overall immune function.
Among the most studied species of strains, that can specifically aid in the improvement of the immune system, are Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Bifidobacterium. These are commonly found in the gut of breast-fed infants is thought to help confer natural immunity from disease.

What Physis are doing to curb the spread:
Fortunately, normal cleaning methods do kill this virus. Physis cleaners, caretakers and concierges have been on the frontline in the battle against coronavirus (COVID-19) to keep staff, customers, and particularly the most vulnerable safe.

Our rigid PPE hygiene regulations, organisational disposal of materials and tireless cleaning schedule, all fall in line with Government requirements. For additional precaution and safety measures, two weeks prior to the UK lockdown, only 2 staff members were allowed into our bottling facility at once to complete the production schedule.
​
I can confirm that production, for the first time in Physis history, has now been put on hold during this national lockdown, with the safety of our staff being put first.
​
In the two weeks prior to shut down we managed to produce what would normally take double the staff to complete in a month. Largely due to Donna and Vi who have worked relentlessly to get our stock levels up at our distribution channels.
​
Sales have, however, increased and the demand on our small beloved brand is growing, now more than ever. We remain hopeful that we have just enough stock produced and ready for dispatch to ensure all of our customers can still have the option to purchase Physis products on Amazon, eBay, our website and through our authorised Resellers.
We believe that our country has what it takes to overcome this, and we wish you, your family and friends strength and happiness during this period of health and economic uncertainty.
